In this blog post, we're proud to share some of the frequently asked questions (FAQs) that we might get from our customer, suppliers and prospective customer.
Some of the these questions are good and relevant questions that others might have thought about it, and therefore we are sharing them in this blog post in order to ensure that this remain a common knowledge for everyone.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
Q: Can KLEENTEK's Electrostatic Oil Cleaning Technology be applied to be used to purify engine oil (i.e. Marine Diesel Engine Lubrication; Automobile Engine Lubrication Oil, Construction Engine)?
A: No, majority of the engine oil that are used for the lubrication of the marine propulsion system (i.e. such as Engine) and automobile engine oil system cannot be applied with KLEENTEK's Electrostatic Oil Cleaning Technology.
Reason being, due to the nature of the base properties of the additive used in the formulation found in the additive used primarily for engine oil. (i.e. detergent-based additive).
Applying an electrostatic oil cleaner would removed/striped away the polar detergent - based additive components - rendering the useful properties of the oil/lubricant useless.
Q: What can I do to ensure that lubrication that I'm using currently can be applied using KLEENTEK's Electrostatic Oil Cleaning Technology?
A: What we can suggest you to do - is send us the the Product Data Sheet ('PDS') or Techncial Data Sheet ('TDS') that you are interested in applying KLEENTEK's technology - and our team of consultant will be able to advice you accordingly.
This information can be downloaded from the manufacturer website or obtained from the manufacturer/suppliers of the lubricant.
Q: What are some of the ideal operating conditions or parameters in order to ensure that KLEENTEK's technology remain operating at its optimum performance?
A: We understand that in some critical and mission-critical application and environment, the oil operating temperature, or equipment operates at a relatively higher than normal temperature (>45ºC - 65ºC). Therefore if your equipments or oil operating temperature is >45ºC (Celsius), you're encourage to reduce your oil operating temperature to approximately 45ºC - 55ºC, through the installation of an oil-cooler.
Rate of oil oxidation doubles for every 10ºC increase in oil operating temperature, and once the oil operating temperature is exceed >65ºC (Celsius) - the rate of oil oxidation increases exponentially, leading to rapid increase in the level of varnish, oil oxidation product and insoluble varnish formationwithin your lubrication system.
Q: What are some of the other types of industries and application that this KLEENTEK's technology be applied on?
A: This technology can be applied onto the lubricant used predominately in the:-
Aviation Hydraulic Lubrication
Marine Hydraulic Operation
Defense Manufacturing
Defense Hydraulic System
We strongly encourage our client to drop us an email to find out more, and we would be able to advice you accordingly.
