Oil change is one of the most conventional, common and recommended practice practiced, recommended and advice by lubrication engineering practitioner within the industry - as it is often claimed that it helps to remove the "dirty solid and metal" particles, metal fragments, varnishes, oil oxidation products and etc. from your hydraulic lubrication system. However, we need to question such "practiced" whether is this case in reality.
In the following slide - we've included evidence that why oil oxidation product that are formed within your hydraulic system will not be "removed" or "flushed" out of your hydraulic system even when you practice your oil change regime routinely and thoroughly. In this slide - the brown oil oxidation products and brand new oil is mixed - and you can see that they do not "mixed" together - therefore when the oil oxidation product is stuck to the walls of your internal components, they are hard to remove - even when routine, recommended oil change is practiced religiously.
In this following slide, we will explain why the conventional practice of oil change does not remove the oil oxidation product. This is because new oil is non-polar in nature and that oil oxidation products are polar in nature. The polar nature of the oil oxidation product will cause it to "stuck" onto the internal surfaces of the components (e.g. servo value - used in hydraulic injection molding machine).
Another way to remove polar oil oxidation products would included the use of a "harsh" flushing agent combined with the laborious, time-consuming removal of complex internal components, that requires very detailed, specialized equipment and tooling with the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and the intensive cleaning of the flushing agent to ensure that the flushing agent does not "attack" the useful properties of the new hydraulic oil when the system is filled with brand new oil.
